Film Recovery Service

This service is for film that has begun to degrade due to age or storage conditions. We handle various forms of deterioration, including:

• Vinegar Syndrome (strong acidic odor, film warping)
• Disintegrating or Brittle Film (flaking, crumbling, or breaking apart)
• Solidified or Stuck Film (hardened film that won’t unwind)
• Mold or Water Damage (visible mold, moisture exposure)
• Color Fading or Loss (severe discoloration, near-invisible images)
• Broken Reels or Perforations (damaged film edges, missing sections)

We assess and attempt to recover as much footage as possible. Results are not guaranteed, but in many cases, some film can be salvaged and digitized.
